Salad experiment #54

I frequently make a salad using the following method:
Open refrigerator. Grab food. Dump in bowl. Assess for completeness. If lacking, open cupboard, grab food and dump in bowl. Add dressing-like substance. Eat.

This is actually a surprisingly successful method. I have gotten rid of an awful lot of leftovers this way and it also proves to be pretty good at turning "I have nothing to eat" nights into "Darnit! Now I don't have an excuse to get takeout" nights.

Anyways, tonight's experiment:
spring mix
feta
raspberries
jalapeno stuffed olives
oil and white balsamic vinegar.

Turns out it's not bad! The raspberries are really a little too delicate to do them justice with the olives and jalapeno, but pretty tasty and filling nonetheless. Success, I say. Success.

Girlfriend, I was totally with you...until the olives. Ewwww. Unless there's a martini involved...

Now almonds? Heck yeah, that would have been a rockin' salad.

I have to agree with Jess on the olives. However, this method is sheer genius for getting rid of leftovers and staying relatively healthy. Bravo! I've got to try it...
