my new vocabulary word

Tonight, we were sitting at the Cheesecake factory, staring at the bizarreness that is their architecture (did I spell that wrong?) when someone said that there is a term in architectural/design circles called suburban gaudy. I love it! That's exactly what I hate about the suburbs... the plasticity and the suburban gaudy element. I am putting that into my regular vocabulary rotation.
