That is the formula of the day. Today, April 26, 2006, marks the first time since high school that I have used algebra for practical purposes. I needed to figure out some numbers for work and I just couldn't get it. Then, I said, "I feel like I'm doing a word problem from high school" and it dawned on me that that is
exactly what I should be doing. Hence, the formula. I'm so proud of myself! Mr. Solomon would be proud, too, if he weren't so busy being in jail.

That's a very interesting way to end your blog :)
I'm curious now as to why Mr. Solomon is in jail. And I'm sure he would be proud of you if he knew. Can't imagine there's much else for him to be doing in jail.
ufrejd: making a math mistake while in jail

oh, and I am VERY proud of you!!!!! But...what the heck were you figuring out that you needed that formula???
oh...and my word id "pqfyiku" sounds like a bad, bad, word!
oh yeah...i can't believe i didn't notice this myself...but dave says...the parentheses should be around the 0.81 and not the y!!! and you need a zero in front of the decimal point! that's TERRIBLE!!!! no "check plus" for you!

Mr. Solomon is in jail for taking naughty pictures of boys.
I needed to formula to figure out ticket prices for next year for work.
Actually, I don't think you need the parentheses at all. It's a single operation. So ticket prices are going down? Good to hear.
I remember the discussion about Mr. Solomon, now that you mention it. Very sad. More for the boys in the pictures, but it's sad for Mr. Solomon, too. Maybe you should send him an e-mail and the link to your blog.
